Police in Florida are searching for two women accused of drugging a poker player at a casino before robbing him in his hotel room.

The man was targeted at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino before he was taken back to the Sleeping Inn in Dania Beach, Broward County Sheriff's Office said.

The gambler told police he lost consciousness as soon as he entered his hotel room, and discovered that his gold and silver Rolex watch worth around $15,000 (£11,600) was missing when he woke up.

He added that $1,000 (£775) was also missing.

Security video from the casino shows the man playing poker at the casino in the city of Hollywood, Florida, at around 2am on Friday 13 September.

He is then approached by two women who start having a conversation with him.

CCTV later shows the gambler at a slot machine, where a blonde-haired suspect appears to pour a substance into a drink before handing it to him.

More from US

The man said he felt drugged and had difficulty moving immediately after drinking it, according to Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Police said the suspects walked the man out to a black or dark-coloured waiting car, which detectives believe may have been driven by a third suspect.

The four of them then travelled to the hotel where the gambler was staying, police said.

One suspect has blonde hair, a tattoo on her upper left chest and is between 35 and 45 years old.
